In August 2020 we were awarded the opportunity to undertake a complex brownfield project, in which there was a need for more efficient and accurate communication of design intent to the construction team on site.  To answer this need, the Bosch Projects deployed a custom-built Augmented Reality app we built in-house that allowed the team to visualise how the new piping, equipment, electrical and structural elements would fit together in the already heavily congested site.  The app overlaid the designed 3D models on screen at full 1:1 scale, and accurately placed the modelled infrastructure while viewing the existing elements through the built in camera.  This advanced technology, together with the Client, construction management team and contractor expertise, helped bring the project to successful completion and factory startup in March 2021.
