Steve Rosettenstein recently attended the 43rd ASSCT (Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists) Conference which was held in Mackay, Australia. The theme this year was “Futureproofing a Resilient Industry” which is a relevant topic not only in the Australian industry but also in the global sugar industry. There were over 300 delegates at the event with a reasonable international attendance.

The ASSCT conference is a distinguished professional and technical event in the Australian sugar industry calendar.  It was a good opportunity for the delegates to attend some thought-provoking presentations and papers that were delivered by numerous technical experts.  An important part of the event was for delegates/exhibitors/suppliers to connect with their peers face-to-face especially given that Covid has restricted physical interactions over the past few years.
