- Architectural and Quantity Surveying services through specialist sub-consultants
- 3D modelling of Process Engineering installation
- Technical advisor for photovoltaic (PV) energy installation
- Technical advisor for rainwater harvesting and process water storage
Project Scope:
Construction of a new manufacturing facility comprising of a production building, office building, laboratory building and weighbridge within an existing security controlled industrial park.
Features:
- The project site is underlain by dolomite classified in two risk zones, the second of which was avoided when designing the development footprint
- Production building of 6,340m2
- Split level with 4m high retaining wall within the building to facilitate production process flow
- Concrete and steel columns, steel roof
- Post-tensioned (PT) concrete raft floor designed to allow roof and sides to be enclosed prior to floor construction.
- PT floor designed for 5m continuous loss of support
- Office building of 1,400m2 – Two-storey reinforced concrete frame with steel roof
- Laboratory building of 570m2 – Single storey reinforced concrete frame with steel roof
- Site layout to facilitate logistics of incoming raw material and outgoing finished goods in various packaging formats and dock-leveller access at various levels / locations
- All external pipework designed as continuous, butt welded lengths to comply with dolomite risk mitigation requirements
- 27,000m3 earthworks, including blasting, crushing, removal of unsuitable and pioneer layer construction
- 17,000m3 of engineered soil mattress
- 8,500m2 of concrete hardstand
- 2,700m2 of asphalt surfaced roadways and parking
- 270m of concrete block retaining wall
- Guardhouse and waste buildings
